Aquatic living

REUTERS/Progetto AbissiTheir new apartment offers a roofless living room with plastic furniture and black netting over their beds to keep them from floating away.

In order to gauge the effect on the human body, Stania Mensa and Stefano Barbaresi from Italy completed their first day in their underwater apartment. While the couple won't surface for 10 days, they will be able to enter a special dry chamber every five hours to tend to some physical needs.

If they surface as planned on September 17, the couple will more than double a U.S. record of living underwater.

This is an interesting experiment. It raises many questions of course - like what about biological needs, and how do you keep the regulator in your mouth while sleeping etc?

It will be interesting to see what the results of the study will be.

True......but as far as the regulator goes, I think the article mentions full face masks....so would that protect you from spitting out your reg.....?
