Scuba diver attacked by mako shark

Yesterday a diver was attacked by a mako shark near Muttonbird Islands in New Zealand. Alistair Kerr, 44 was diving with a friend when the shark, estimated 2.5 meters long, attacked.

Mako's grow up to 4 meters and can jump to heights of 10m. They are known to chase their prey at 50km/h.

Yikes!.........ok so what do you expect from an overtired BLONDE scuba chic? Can't believe I overlooked that..my former journalism students would have a field day with this error!

You need to get the facts straight first. It was actually a great white shark that attacked alistair kerr not a great white I think this could be a laugh for your former joutnalism students

um......the article linked to this post says Mako.....so I should have done a little more verification research....but the NZ article was wrong first......did you read the linked article?

So then if anyone knows, you do...how is your dad at this point? Does he still dive? Would you be willing to email me and give me all the correct facts...it would be interesting from a daughter's perspective and I could do a new post to get it right....maybe an update post
